Cats are finicky animals when it comes to their drinking habits. They prefer fresh, running water, as they often prefer clear streams and rivers as their water source in the wild. With our TREVI cat fountain, you can ensure that your beloved cat always has access to fresh and clean water. In this way, you promote the health of your cat and at the same time you integrate a stylish design object into your home that creates a feel-good atmosphere.
LucyBalu has developed a drinking fountain for cats together with designer Hanna Krüger. We understand how important it is to promote the health and well-being of our beloved pets - and that starts with drinking. Cats are picky when it comes to their water source and this can lead to a serious health problem. Many cats do not drink enough if they only have one water bowl/spot available.
To counteract this problem, we decided to develop a cat fountain that meets the needs of cats. However, it was also particularly important to us to design a drinking fountain that does not look like a conventional cat fountain. Our goal was to create a product that could seamlessly blend into the living space without compromising on quality and functionality. To realise this vision, we teamed up with renowned designer Hanna Krüger for the second time.
The result: our TREVI cat fountain made of high-quality ceramic therefore not only provides fresh, running water, but also meets the highest aesthetic requirements. With this design object, you can elegantly combine the health needs of cats with the aesthetics of modern living.
"Water flows, water circulates, it can ripple and splash. It creates a moment of comfort, and is also the basis of life. A fountain is a sculptural element that invites you to contemplate and listen. The Trevi indoor fountain was designed to meet the cats' need to drink and play with running water, as well as to create an object that blends into the living space in an unobtrusive and quiet way, yet it still provides a poetic moment.
A particular challenge was to explore the properties of flowing water: does it flow or drip, what are the effects of surfaces and structures, and when do we find the sound of splashing water pleasant? Consisting of two ceramic parts with a finely grooved structure that are eccentrically positioned one inside the other, it takes up classic outdoor fountain forms - but tries to reduce them to the essentials: a fountain that is intended to be an everyday object that gives pleasure to people and animals alike." - Hanna Krüger
