Our TOFU cat litter has been named “Best Vegan Cat Litter” by PETA Germany at the Vegan Award 2026. We're delighted with this honour, because it confirms what we set out to do: develop a thoughtfully made, plant-based cat litter that convinces cats and their people alike.
LucyBalu's vegan cat litter is made from 100% plant-based raw materials and offers everything cat owners want from a modern clumping cat litter. It forms firm clumps within seconds, reliably binds odours and is virtually dust-free. Thanks to the smooth tofu pellets, far less litter sticks to paws, which keeps the area around the litter box cleaner.
Another plus: our TOFU cat litter is biodegradable and water-soluble. Small amounts can be conveniently flushed down the toilet – as long as you follow your local disposal regulations. The litter is available both unscented and with a subtle lavender fragrance.
The PETA Vegan Award recognises products that offer innovative, animal-friendly and well-thought-out alternatives. We're especially proud that our TOFU cat litter has received this award – and it motivates us to keep going down this path.
A heartfelt thank you to PETA Germany for this award and to our community for trusting our products every day. Together, we're showing that vegan cat litter is a high-performing, plant-based and convenient choice for modern cat keeping.
