Was muss ich beim TREVI beachten?

Eine rote LED-Leuchte zeigt dir einen zu niedrigen Wasserstand an. Lasse den Brunnen niemals ohne Wasser oder bei zu geringem Wasserstand laufen. Ziehe den Netzstecker vor der Wartung und Reinigung des Brunnens und achte darauf, dass dieser nicht nass wird.Bei besonders kalkhaltigem Wasser empfehlen wir dir, kein Leitungswasser zu verwenden oder dieses zu entkalken (z.B. mit Britta Wasserfilter). Damit vermeidest du Kalkablagerungen.

Wie gewöhne ich meine Katze an den Trinkbrunnen?

Die Pumpe ist quasi geräuschlos, man hört lediglich ein leises Wasserplätschern. Schreckhafte Tiere scheuen sich anfangs aber vielleicht trotzdem vor dem neuen Trinkbrunnen.Hast du einen ängstlichen Stubentiger, kannst du Leckerlis um den Brunnen verteilen und deine Katze loben, wenn sie sich dem Brunnen nähert.

Wie reinige ich den Katzenbrunnen?

Pumpe und Filter solltest du wöchentlich mit Wasser und Essigessenz reinigen - bei mehreren Tieren in entsprechend kürzeren Abständen.Wechsle das Wasser mindestens alle drei Tage.Der Filter der Pumpe sollte alle zwei Monate gewechselt werden. in der Lieferung sind bereits 12 Ersatzfilter enthalten für die ersten 24 Monate. Die Keramikteile kannst du in der Spülmaschine reinigen. Die Pumpe natürlich nicht.

Should I get a water fountain for my cat?

Your cat prefers to drink flowing water rather than stagnant water. However, cats often only have one drinking bowl available. That is why most cats drink too little. The result is too little passing of urine, which means that the urinary tract is cleaned less often and more urinary stones are formed. This can be very painful! The TREVI cat fountain will encourage your cat to drink enough water and thus promote the health of your cat.

Why is TREVI the best cat fountain?

Most drinking fountains on the market are made of plastic. Plastic is not only harmful to the environment, but also very difficult to keep clean - even if filters are replaced very regularly. For the same reason, ceramic tableware has also become popular. TREVI is meant to be used by your cat for a long time. Our ceramic drinking fountain has a smooth glaze on the inside and a matt finish on the outside. The TREVI cat fountain was developed together with Hanna Krüger, one of Germany's best designers. The fountain encourages cats to drink, but doesn't look like a typical cat fountain. TREVI is a design object for you and promotes health for your cat.

The red LED light indicates that the water level is too low. Never run the fountain without water or when the water level is too low.
Unplug the fountain before cleaning and make sure the power plug does not get wet.
If the water contains lime, we recommend that you decalcify the water beforehand (e.g. with a Britta water filter). This prevents limescale deposits.

The pump is virtually noiseless, all you hear is a gentle splatter. However, timid animals may still shy away from the new drinking fountain at first.
If you have a timid cat, you can place treats around the fountain and reward your cat when it approaches the fountain.

You should clean the pump and filter weekly with water and vinegar essence - with several animals at correspondingly shorter intervals.
Change the water at least every three days.
The filter of the pump should be changed every two months. The delivery already includes 12 replacement filters for the first 24 months.
You can clean the ceramic parts in the dishwasher. The pump, of course, is not dishwasher safe.

Selbst wenn TREVI ein ganzes Jahr am Stück durchlaufen würde, so ist der Stromverbrauch minimal. Dieser liegt bei 0,25Wh bzw. hochgerechnet auf ein ganzes Jahr 2,19 kWh. Bei einem Strompreis von 40 Cent pro kWh (das entspricht dem Strompreisdeckel während der Ukraine-Krise) liegen die Stromkosten mit 87,6 Cent unter 1 Euro pro Jahr.

Absolut zufrieden und ganz leise

Sehr schön, aber Geräusche nehmen zu

Der Brunnen sieht wirklich sehr schön aus und macht auf den ersten Blick einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Das Wasser plätschert angenehm, und unser Kater hat ihn anfangs gut angenommen.

Allerdings ist er bereits nach einer Woche deutlich lauter geworden. Es scheint, als würde man die Pumpe oder ein anderes Bauteil hören. Wir finden das Geräusch störend, und ich bin unsicher, ob unser Kater es vielleicht noch stärker wahrnimmt und deshalb weniger trinkt.
Nach dem Kauf habe ich dann gelesen, dass das Produkt in China hergestellt wurde oder zumindest Teile davon.
Das hat mich enttäuscht, da ich eigentlich davon ausgegangen war, dass es aus Deutschland oder zumindest aus Europa stammt.
Trotzdem behalten wir den Brunnen erst einmal und schauen, wie es sich entwickelt. Falls das Geräusch noch lauter wird, werde ich mich beim Kundenservice melden.
