A cat litter that doesn't get dusty.

Your cat digs with its nose right above the litter – several times a day. With TOFU, no cloud of dust rises up. And since the pellets barely stick to paws, the rest stays in the box.
- 99.9% dust-free when pouring and digging
- No litter around the house – barely sticks to paws
- 100% plant-based and clumps reliably
„No more dust cloud when filling the litter box or when my cat digs.“
Why dust in the litter box matters
Cats dig, sniff and scratch with their noses just a few inches above the litter. Fine dust from conventional litter goes straight into their airways – day after day. For most cats that's not dramatic, but it's not good either. Vets advise that cats should inhale as little dust as possible – it can irritate the airways and contribute to asthma.
TOFU cat litter is made of firm, pressed pellets from plant-based raw materials. They don't break down into powder – not when pouring, not when digging. And you don't breathe in dust anymore when cleaning up, either.

„Dust is the invisible enemy in a cat's airways – what we barely notice puts strain on their delicate bronchi day after day.“
The litter box, day to day. No hassle.
Four things that happen almost every day with conventional litter – and how TOFU solves them.
Filling without a dust cloud.
If you've ever poured out a bag of clay litter, you know the gray cloud. It settles on the shelf, on the floor – and in your cat's nose.
TOFU is 99.9% dust-free. No powder when pouring, no cloud when digging. Easier on your cat's airways – and on yours.
„No dust for humans or cats!“ – Melanie, Germany
Litter in the hallway. Again.
Conventional litter travels – on paws and fur through the whole apartment, all the way to the couch.
TOFU pellets barely stick to paws. What belongs in the box stays in the box – even with long-haired cats.
„As a test, I didn't vacuum in front of the litter box for two days, and there isn't a single crumb – just a few on the mat.“ – Marie, Germany

Firm clumps. Clean box.
Crumbly clumps mean you use more litter and get that cat urine smell.
TOFU absorbs moisture quickly and forms firm clumps you can scoop out in one go. The rest of the litter stays clean in the box.
„[…] you also use very little litter when removing the business, because really only a small part swells up and absorbs everything […]“ – Leonie A., Germany

100% plant-based. Light to carry.
TOFU is made from 100% plant-based raw materials. We mainly use pea & soy fibers, corn starch and corn flour, as well as guar gum. Our secret ingredient: bioactive enzymes for especially good odor control.
No clay. No silica.
To obtain the plant-based raw materials, no trees are cut down for TOFU cat litter.
TOFU is surprisingly light. No more hauling heavy bags up to the third floor: a 6 L bag weighs just 2.5 kg.
„The smaller and therefore lighter bags are much easier to refill with, store […]“ – Sarah, Germany
⚠️ Mineral litter is an environmental problem!
Used cat litter goes in the household trash and is incinerated. Mineral litter like bentonite and silica litter doesn't burn – it's left behind as slag that has to be stored in landfills. That's why the Canton of Zurich recommends switching to plant-based litter.
🌱 TOFU is 100% plant-based and burns almost completely.
TOFU compared
Here's how TOFU stacks up against the litter types found in most litter boxes.

*Only single small clumps, and only if local regulations allow it. **When incinerated with household trash, according to the Building Department of the Canton of Zurich (SRF, 09/14/2026). Comparison based on typical properties of each litter type; individual products may vary.
How long does TOFU last?
Don't just compare the price per liter. Since you only scoop out the clumps, TOFU stays fresh much longer than other types of litter.
For one cat with a regular-size box: 2 bags last about a month. One for the first fill, one for topping up. After that, replace everything once.
That's why the subscription with 4 bags every 2 months is just right for one cat. With several cats or a large box, you'll need more – then go straight for 8 bags or a monthly delivery of 4 bags.
„Regular litter needs to be 7–10 cm deep; with this litter, 3–5 cm is plenty.“ – Leonie A., Germany
Will my cat accept it?
Many cats switch right away. Some need a few days. Here's how it works:
„The switch worked great after 14 days!“ – Thorsten R., Germany

Start with the trial bag – or save with a subscription: 4 bags every 2 months are enough for one cat.
What cat people say
„We have one cat with asthma and one with a dust mite allergy. Both tolerate the litter very well. And there's hardly any of it scattered around the apartment.“
„After 30 years with cats, litter in the bed and just about everywhere eventually drove me crazy … […] really pleasantly surprised by the instant acceptance, absorbency and odor control. […] Vet assistant (me) and cat are happy.“
„Hardly any dust at all. My 6 cats took to it without any problems from day one. […] Still smells pleasant after weeks in the box, clumps great.“
FAQ
How dust-free is TOFU really?
TOFU is 99.9% dust-free. The pellets are firmly pressed and don't break down into powder – not when pouring, not when digging. You'll see it the first time you fill the box: no cloud.
Is TOFU good for cats with sensitive airways?
Because TOFU barely creates dust, it's a good choice for cats that are sensitive to dust – many of our customers with asthmatic or allergic cats use it. If your cat has a medical condition, it's best to talk to your vet.
What is TOFU made of?
TOFU is made from 100% plant-based raw materials. We use by-products from grain processing – mainly pea & soy fibers, corn starch and corn flour, as well as guar gum. Our secret ingredient: bioactive enzymes for especially good odor control.
How much TOFU do I need?
For one cat with a regular-size box, 2 bags last about a month: one for the first fill, one for topping up. Scoop out clumps daily and replace everything after about a month. Several cats or a large box need correspondingly more.
Will my cat accept TOFU?
Many cats use TOFU from day one. If your cat doesn't like change, mix TOFU into the usual litter at first and increase the share with every change.
Can TOFU be flushed down the toilet?
Single small clumps, yes – if your local authority allows it. Let them soak in water for a bit, then flush. Feces and larger amounts go in the household trash. And don't flush any litter if you have older pipes.
Unscented or lavender?
Unscented is the calm choice for sensitive cat noses. Lavender adds a light scent to your home. By the way, we use high-quality fragrances from Switzerland. We think the idea that cats dislike a light lavender scent is a myth. Not sure? Start with the unscented version!
How does the subscription work?
You choose 4 or 8 bags and whether TOFU arrives monthly or every 2 months. You save 4 € on every delivery. For one cat, 4 bags every 2 months is usually just right. You can pause or cancel anytime – there's no minimum term. You do this in your customer account, and you don't need to remember a password – your email address is all it takes.
