From Birth to Adulthood: The Exciting Development of Kittens

Kitten Birth and the First Weeks

When a cat is pregnant, it usually takes about 63 days, until the kittens are born. Once the kittens are born, they are still deaf and blind and weigh only about 85 to 115 grams.
In the first days of their lives, the kittens depend on their mother's milk.
After about 10 to 14 days, the kittens' eyes open and they begin to explore their surroundings. Their ears also start to function, which means they can begin to perceive sounds.

Over the following weeks, the kittens become more and more active and start running around and playing with each other.
