For the fourth year running, our Munich-based start-up LucyBalu hosted the "Cat Model Contest".
After the huge success of the past few years, we were hoping that just as many people would want to enter their house cats for the title of Cat Model 2024 — and our expectations were even exceeded! We received over 4,000 entries. Through challenges and community voting, it was decided who would make it into the final.

Hello furriends! My name is Milo, I'm almost 3 years old and a "charcoal"-spotted Bengal. That's why I'm literally on fire for adventure and fun 😹😼 When I'm not out roaming the woods with my pawrents or being boss at home, I love nothing more than cuddling up with my little brother and my humans, because I'm said to have a very sweet soul 😽♥️
Suri didn't have an easy start in life, but she has mastered every challenge and is an absolute fighter. She's affectionate, very people-oriented, and purrs so often that we lovingly call her "Purri". Her enchanting eyes never fail to amaze us.
Klausi is a thoroughly spoiled boy whom we love dearly! He loves spending time outdoors and is endlessly curious! The funny thing is, he always has a comeback ready whenever something doesn't sit right with him! 🥰
Luna is a lively, fluffy cotton ball who loves tuna more than anything. She's incredibly affectionate and lives for cuddles. She doesn't know the meaning of privacy and is never shy — she's very brave.
Smoky loves going for walks with us and being the centre of attention at home. He loves trying new things and is a real action cat
Dynamic, wild and yet incredibly cuddly! That's our little rocket Lexus. He came to us together with his brother from the Mainz animal shelter.
Laid-back, always hungry, and yet full of energy. That's our little orange cloud Fanta. He came with his brother from the Mainz animal shelter.
Lola is a 2-year-old adventure cat who never misses a bike ride or hike (there's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong gear or a lazy pawp). This round we had to step a bit outside our comfort zone, since we're not used to photos that involve just sitting still. But we've since realised that's a lot of fun too, so we hope we can win you over and grab the chance for a cool shoot with pros and friends!

Charly is an absolute soulmate of a cat. Nothing calms me like his purring or our cuddle sessions. Charly's favourite thing is head-butting his favourite humans or dreaming about treats🤭
Fluffy is our sweet little chaos machine. Her nickname is Ms Clumsy, because she's simply an adorable klutz. She can catch treats lying down (by pushing off the wall), is always close by, and purrs like a little tractor when cuddling.
Gnocchi is a 2-year-old British Shorthair tom whom we rescued from poor living conditions. He's affectionate, incredibly sweet, and loves salmon, concerts, and catching our feet. He has tiny front teeth, which is why his tongue often pokes out.
Hello, I'm Akira, a 1.5-year-old, big, fluffy and sensitive tom. When I want to be petted, I meow like a tiny dino, just very quietly. I'm happiest when everyone's home and my sister Ari isn't teasing me.
Nothing can stop BamBam Balu: not her missing leg joints, not the next kerb. Bursting with energy and zest for life, she zooms through life on her BamBam Mobile, romps around the Kitten Safe House with her cat friends, and proves that Handicats are true HandiCANs!
My name is Zulli. I was found on the street with cat flu and badly matted fur, so I had to be completely shaved. This year I've finally found a loving home with four playmates and lots of attention, and I couldn't be happier. Since I'm deaf, I make my mum laugh every time with my far-too-loud meowing, and I always love it when she shows me a safe world outside on the leash.
With such unique personalities, we'd love to crown every single cat the winner! In the end, of course, the community and the team from "Geliebte Katze" have to choose one house tiger. The winner will be announced next week, so stay tuned.
